Since 2004, BMW has been using ball bearings instead of tapered roller bearings in its cars. Ball bearings are characterized by low durability due to their very small contact surface. Older car models used tapered roller bearings, which are incomparably more durable. The use of these bearings resulted in the legendary durability of the differentials in older BMW models. Using our patented technology, our experts will install tapered roller bearings in your differential, restoring its full reliability.

A typical symptom that your differential needs repair is a noise coming from the rear of the vehicle, or in the case of a 4x4, also from the front. The noise may be constant, change with increasing speed, or vary depending on the throttle applied.

The models in which BMW has used non-durable ball bearings include: 1-Series, 2-Series, 3-Series, 4-Series, 5-Series, 7-Series, 8-Series, X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, XM, and Z4.

Equally important, since 1999, all BMW M sports models have suffered from a factory defect that manifests itself in the form of play and knocking when shifting gears or releasing the clutch. This is caused by excessive play between the gears, which is incorrectly adjusted during production. We offer a solution to this problem through professional modification of the differential. After such modification, the play will not occur in practice for up to 1,000,000 km.
